One reason why I love to paint cats so much is that I really enjoy exploring the various expressions that they have – serious, happy, clownish, sad, content, etc. Copernicus is a pretty serious guy. I love the shading and use of colour in this portrait. I used acrylic & pencil on bristol paper measuring 4 x 6 inches. This painting has been sold.
